Shipping

When will my order be shipped?
I pack and ship every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Orders received by Tuesday evening are usually shipped the same week.

Which countries do you ship to?
Currently, I ship within Germany and to other EU countries.

How are the plants packaged?
Each plant is carefully packed with newspaper, filling material, and a sturdy cardboard box to ensure it arrives safely and healthy. In winter, I also include a 72h heat pack in the package so the plants don't freeze.

Plant Condition & Arrival

How will the plant arrive?
All plants are packed fresh and in the best condition. It may happen that individual leaves have suffered slightly during transport — this is normal and no cause for concern. The plant will recover quickly.

The plant has arrived – what should I do now?
Congratulations on your new green housemate! Here's how to proceed:

  1. Unpack – Carefully remove the plant from the box and all packaging materials.
  2. Observe – Take your time to examine the plant. Drooping leaves are often just stress from transport and not a sign of illness.
  3. Choose a bright spot – Initially, place the plant in a bright, indirect location. No direct midday sun.
  4. Acclimatize first, then water – Wait 2-3 days before watering for the first time. This allows the plant to get used to its new home. This only applies if the soil still contains moisture. If the soil is completely dry, water the plant very lightly from below.
  5. Do not repot immediately – Give the plant at least 2 weeks to settle in before repotting.
  6. Give it peace – In the first few weeks, the plant needs one thing above all: patience. No excessive watering and no fertilizer in the first 2 weeks.

Cuttings & Rhizomes

What is a cutting?
A cutting is a cut shoot from a mother plant that grows into an independent plant. This is a great way to acquire rare plants more affordably.

What is a rhizome?
A rhizome is an underground rootstock from which new shoots grow. This is a popular propagation method, especially for Alocasias and other tropical plants.

How do I care for my cutting/rhizome?
Cuttings and rhizomes need warmth (min. 20°C), high humidity, and indirect light. A propagator or greenhouse dome helps with rooting. Detailed instructions can be found in my Guide.

General Care

How often should I water?
That depends on the plant! As a rule of thumb: less is more. Most tropical plants prefer the top layer of soil to be slightly dry before you water again. Just stick a finger in the soil — if it's still damp, wait a few more days.

Do my plants need fertilizer?
During the growing season (spring & summer), most plants appreciate regular fertilization every 2-4 weeks. In autumn and winter, a break is recommended.

Where can I find more care tips?
In my Guide, you'll find detailed care instructions for many plant species. 🌿
