Hi, I'm Céline

The person behind Pretty Plants — a passionate plant collector and full-time project manager from Ulm.

How it all began

Even as a small child, my green thumb showed itself in my parents' vegetable patch. I loved planting all sorts of things — and even then, the season for me didn't start with buying ready-made plants. I started many plants myself early in the year, so I could proudly plant the seedlings in the garden.

My entry into the world of houseplants was paved by two very special plants: a poinsettia that actually dared to survive Christmas — and over time grew into a small bonsai poinsettia. And a Syngonium that just kept getting bigger and bigger — until I took the next step in 2020 and got my first "rare plant": a Syngonium Albo Variegata. Back then, it was a real highlight; today, it would be called an ordinary plant. Once you start propagating plants and watching them grow, you can't stop.

My love for plants really escalated during Corona — moving, more space, and suddenly a jungle that grows daily and shows no signs of stopping.

My husband not only supported me but also always encouraged me to buy even rarer plants that I wouldn't have otherwise indulged in — and literally left every corner of our apartment for plants. He topped it off with a very special gift: a Monstera Thai Constellation with 3 leaves, when they still cost €350. Who remembers those times?

New addition: Mommy time!

I recently became a mom — and I'm very happy that I can continue to pursue my passion from home without neglecting my baby. So Pretty Plants continues to grow. In every way.

What's behind Pretty Plants?

Pretty Plants is my passion project. I largely select the plants I offer based on my personal taste — following the motto: what fascinates and amazes me will surely inspire others too.

At the same time, I keep an eye on current trends and ensure that plants desired by collectors can also be found with me. I deliberately stick to the mid-price segment — beautiful, special plants should remain affordable.

Whether green, pink, or white speckled: Here you will find plants with character — selected by someone who loves them as much as you do.

Thank you for being here! 💚
